01 / The need

A quote starts with project details

Promotional merchandise is priced by project. A quote can depend on the product, brand, quantity, colours, sizes, and decoration.

A general enquiry often leaves these details open. The sales team then needs more information before it can prepare a quote.

The firm also had a large product range. Buyers needed ways to find suitable items by brand and category.

The website needed to connect product selection with a structured project request.

02 / The build

From browsing to a quote request

The storefront presents the firm’s brands and products, then guides visitors through a quote request.

  • Brand pages and a directory. A directory gives each partner brand its own page. Buyers can explore the brands that the firm supplies.
  • A filterable catalogue. Brand and category filters help buyers find products in a large range.
  • A quote request in clear steps. The form connects selected items with contact and project details. It asks for the buyer’s company, brand interests, quantities, and job requirements.
  • A dashboard for content updates. The client can change products, images, team details, and brand information through a content dashboard.
  • Request storage before email notification. The system stores a quote request before it sends the notification email. Server access rules restrict customer data. The catalogue can remain available during some backend service interruptions.

The selected products become part of the request the sales team receives.

03 / In practice

Project details in one request

The website is in production. The delivered functions support product selection, quote preparation, and content updates.

What the website enables

  • The sales team receives company, brand, quantity, and project details for a quote request.
  • Buyers can filter the catalogue and explore partner brands before they send a request.
  • The client can update its content, products, and brand details.

The relationship continued

Within weeks of the first engagement, before the website launched, the client asked about a larger program. This was a further project discussion, not a measured result from the new website.

04 / Design decisions

Use the quote as the next step

The site structure follows the way the firm sells merchandise.

Ask for a quote instead of taking payment

Prices depend on the project. The request form collects details for the sales team to assess before it prepares a quote.

Let buyers start with a brand

Brand pages and filters give buyers another way to find suitable products. Brand selection can then carry through to the request.

Give the client content controls

Products and brand details change. A content dashboard lets the client maintain this information.

Further work

The client asked about a company-store program with separate websites for approved branded merchandise. That program requires its own scope and agreement.
